MEN'S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Our goal at Homes of Hope is to rebuild lives, not just houses. Our Men’s Development program is a voluntary one-year residential job training and mentoring program for men overcoming drug and alcohol addictions. Men come to us broken and without hope. Through biblical based discipleship, life skills training, and construction-related job training, men receive the ingredients necessary to start a new life. Our ultimate goal in this part of our ministry is to produce men who are able to succeed in any walk of life.

Graduates of Christ-centered rehab programs are eligible to enter our Men’s Development program as the next step in job training and discipleship. Together, our interns live and learn at Gideon’s House, a historical home in downtown Greenville. Men are equipped with construction-related job skills through classroom training and through the actual construction of our LoCAL Homes. Each participant graduates with a certification in Basic Residential Construction (BRC) through Greenville Technical College's Quick Jobs program.

Jesus Christ is the foundation of this program and is shared with each man through daily Bible studies, corporate worship, and participation in a local church. It is also the goal that each man graduates with the Four Pillars of Success.

PillarsThese four pillars securely hold up the roof of financial wellness training for each man, with the whole house being held together with the love of Christ.

Program supervision is led by our Men’s Development Staff members who have graduated our programs and are now full time Homes of Hope employees. These mentors understand the challenge of addiction and are supremely equipped to lead the next generation of men through this process.

We will soon see our 300th man graduate and move on toward a restored life!
