Bonus Updates from the 2014 Hope House Dinner & Auction

On May 16th, 2014 Homes of Hope held our annual fundraising banquet at the Hyatt in Downtown Greenville. Together with 500 guests we celebrated our 15th Anniversary and the many lives that have been changed through our mission of affordable housing and job training. Here are some updates from our event speakers.

HofH Knox (151)"It was a relief to share my story at Homes of Hope's banquet because I know there are people out there in this world who have gone through experiences like me, and have given up. My experience is proof that you shouldn't give up no matter what you have been through. As of now I am currently enrolled in online business classes studying for my Associates Degree. I am also working on my credit so I can own my home one day. My son Bryson is learning to talk and I am enjoying life as a mother. Thank you Homes of Hope!"

"I was an Honored Guest at Homes of Hope's Dinner and Auction. It was an amazing night HofH Knox (130)and you could feel God's presence. There was a video testimony of me and I had a speech also. I was giving my speech and I said "I don't have family near here, but Homes of Hope became my family"- Which is very true. A good friend, David Peebles, came on stage and said how HOH loved me and how much I meant to them and that they flew my family in. I looked around and saw them. I was so overwhelmed rivers of water fell from my eyes. God is so amazing and is always at work everywhere. I thank you God for your amazing love. HOH y'all are so awesome- thank you being my new family."

-Derek Alvarez, Men's Development Graduate

HofH Knox (153)"Thank you for sending the link to Derek's video. I have watched it several times already. I will probably watch it many more times, because that's what moms do. We want to thank everyone at HOH for all you have done for us and continue to do for Derek. We are also blessed to be a part of the Homes of Hope family. We will be sure to keep  the entire HOH family in our prayers. I believe with all my heart that many blessing will continue to flow on this Christ centered organization. Thank you again for making it possible to share in Derek's special moment."
